A Part of History

                              Roman fairs were inspired by holidays and brought about games as an intermission from work and the pleadings of the people.   In the Middle Ages, Fairs were a sort-of temporary market place important especially for long-distant trade.  Wholesale traders traveled sometimes for days to procure goods and services. The inaugural Frisco Fair shared some of these same ideas by having its first city fair in proximity to it's standing Frisco Fresh Market. The two seemed synonymous as travelers unwittingly commingled between them. 
Whether goods, food or play, one common space shared by Fairs' throughout history has been music. Last Sunday on the last day of Frisco's Fair, The Vocal School filled that space. The stage was shared by North Texas Performing Arts, Frisco. Travelers from all over were seemingly eye-glued to the stage as these next generation vocal and performing arts young adults tried their hand at holding the crowd's attention.
